It was the first time since yesterday that Gounon ran on track, and just in his first lap he was able to reduce his best time by five seconds. At the second aim, he cut off two more second, and finally, another three. Two slower cars ruined Adrian Vallés best attempt, losing the Spaniard no less than three seconds at sectors 2&3.
Nakano and Johansson qualified themselves without any problem. Burgueño and De Castro didn’t run to save #20’s engine mileage.
Tomorrow, the team will take part in the pit walk celebration, closing their cars and drivers to fans.
Adrián Vallés: “I felt the lack of experience with the car and the circuit. There was too much traffic on track, otherwise, I ‘m quite sure to get a 3:31 lap.”
Jean-Marc Gounon: “It’s not bad, this is my first time on the car, and also the team first time at Le Mans. Yesterday, I told about set up changes to Sergio Rinland, and they worked so well today. Now, we have a much more balanced car, and very nice for the race.”
